FAQ’S

How does it work?

It’s simple. Prepare your file and send them over electronically. We’ll contact you if we see some concern with your file and let you know when it’s printed.

We have prepared a pdf on how to prepare your files here. If you’re already finished with your edits, we suggest going to page 6 for the sending of files.

File format?

For an optimal print, it is best to send us:

  • Unsharpened
  • Unresized
  • Flattened .tiff file
  • Prophoto or Adobe RGB
  • 16 bit

How can I send my files?

You can send a drive that contains your images, or better yet, send your files electronically by using any of the following free services.

You can use [email protected] as your target destination address. Please ensure that permission is given to the destination address if necessary.

How big can you print?

We are equipped with a 44 and a 64 inch wide Epson Large Format Printer.  We can go as wide as 60 x 590 inches.

That’s 5 x 40 ft!

What materials do you use?

A wide variety of Tecco and Hahnemuhle papers and canvas.

We only use paper and ink combinations that we have personally used and deemed worthy. Materials certified of excellent permanence. Archival cotton paper and pigment inks.

We are a Tecco Certified Printer and we’re a partner of Hahnemule distributor.

If you have a body of work that requires to be on a specific paper, let us know.

Do you edit the files before printing?

No, we do not. We believe in the artist’s vision — the idea that the print should be exactly how the artist saw it in his mind.

But we would let you know if something feels out of place.

How do you print?

With the utmost care.

For color work, we use custom-made ICC profiles to ensure a true and excellent color response. For Black and White, a dedicated RIP with custom-made linearised gray curves are used to give extreme control on tonality, ink density, and gradation.

These print paths and processes ensure superior print quality.

We prepare the file for printing — resampling to target size, micro-contrast enhancement, and sharpening for the medium and size.

The entire lab is lit with an ISO standard lighting used for photographic viewing.

Can you frame my work?

Yes.

Please let us know of your intention when we discuss your image for printing.

Can you ship?

Yes. But only within reason.

Large prints such as 20-40 inches would need special handling. For such cases, we recommend you have them picked up. The same could be said with framed work. Glass is fragile and most couriers refuse service.

For prints that can be shipped: DHL and UPS.
For local shipments, we use LBC.
For short distance deliveries, we can also use Grab and Lalamove courier services.
For shipments with glass that needs a crate, we use AP Cargo

Prints will be rolled in a rigid tube, laid flat with protection or in a crate — depending on the need. We will keep tabs on the shipment and keep you informed. We know how valuable your work is to you.

Shipping costs and materials for shipping are excluded. Note that the protection is only for the short transport and not meant to be used for further shipping ie: flights

Price?

Prints start at 1,500 – 1,700 pesos — that’s for an A3+ cut-sheet paper (13×19 inches) and 2,500 for A2 size papers.

For other sizes, generally, print is 6-7 pesos per square inch of paper and 7-8 pesos for canvas — depending on the brand.

For paper, let’s say that your image is 20 x 30 inches. Your image would be printed on 22 x 32 inches of paper. The print would have a 1-inch border around the image for your signature and matting – should you have it framed.

For Canvas, framers typically require an additional 2 inches on all sides to be used for stretching the canvas onto a frame. This is called a gallery wrap. Let’s say that your image is 20 x 30 inches. Your image would be printed on 24 x 34 inches of the canvas. The print would have 2 inches of reflection.

For Paper:
22 x 32 x 6 to 7 = 4,224 to 4,928 pesos range.

For Canvas:
24 x 34 x 7 to 8 = 5,712 to 6,528 pesos range.

Cut sheets are a bit more expensive. Cut sheets are available at A3+ and A2 sizes.

Mode of payment?

Payment can be made via cash or bank transfers, preferably bank transfer — Banco De Oro or Bank of the Philippine Islands. And if you have a mobile app, that would be most convenient.

Other modes of payment can be arranged when we communicate with you regarding your print.

Where are you guys located?

We are at 105 Calamba Street, Sta Mesa Heights, Quezon City.

Let us know a few days in advance if you’re interested in coming over. We will need to sync our schedule and ensure that you’ll have a good visit.

Who do you work for?

All applause should be for the artist, not the person who printed the work. We believe that we do not work for anyone; we work with someone. We collaborate with artists, other custom printers, and industry leaders in meeting their requirements. And as a fellow image-maker, we understand how complicated we can sometimes be. We eat meticulous for breakfast.

In a nutshell, we work with people whom we share the same values – people that maintain a high regard for their work.
