What is giclée printing and how is it different from regular photo printing?

Giclée printing uses high-resolution inkjet machines and pigment-based inks to produce fine-art prints on archival media. Unlike standard photo prints that use dye inks and resin-coated paper, giclée prints are made on acid-free, cotton-based papers or canvas and have a lifespan measured in decades.

What makes Redlab’s prints museum-grade and archival?

Redlab is a Hahnemühle Certified Studio and Tecco Certified Print Partner following strict colour management, paper handling and print longevity standards to ensure archival quality.

Why choose Hahnemühle FineArt papers for exhibitions and collections?

Hahnemühle papers are acid-free, cotton-based and meet ISO 9706 permanence standards. They deliver rich blacks, smooth tonal transitions and subtle textures suited for galleries and private collections.

Which paper types do you recommend for black-and-white versus colour photographs?

For black-and-white prints, Photo Rag Baryta or FineArt Baryta provide deep blacks and micro-contrast. For colour work, Photo Rag 308 gsm offers a wide gamut, while Bamboo adds warm tone suitable for portraits.

How long do pigment-based giclée prints last?

When properly displayed, pigment giclée prints can last 70–100 years without noticeable fading. Protective varnishes extend longevity for canvas prints.

Can Redlab print large-format works and custom sizes for exhibitions?

Yes. Redlab prints up to 44 inches (and on request 60 inches) in width with accurate feed calibration for large works and panoramas.

Do you offer framing or mounting services for your prints?

Redlab offers archival framing, mounting and canvas stretching services that meet exhibition and curatorial standards.

Are your fine-art prints suitable for home interiors and decorative art?

Yes. The same archival quality used for exhibitions benefits private collectors and interiors when displayed properly.

Do you serve clients outside Metro Manila / across the Philippines?

Yes. Redlab produces museum-grade prints for clients across the Philippines through digital file submission, remote proofing and secure nationwide shipping.
