Hahnemühle German Etching ®

German Etching is one of the most distinctive textured papers we offer.

It has a clearly defined felt structure — more pronounced than Photo Rag — and a slightly firmer surface. When printed properly, that texture becomes part of the image. It adds dimensionality without overpowering the artwork.

It handles colour depth extremely well. Shadows stay rich, and tonal transitions remain controlled even in darker compositions. The texture softens harsh digital edges and lends a tactile quality that collectors respond to immediately.
